Die Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge
ist die erste Lodge, die je in einem kenianischen Nationalpark eröffnet wurde und liegt
herrlich umrahmt von prachtvollen Vulkanen inmitten des Tsavo West Nationalpark. Seit
ihrer Eröffnung 1962 wird sie von vielen internationalen Kenia - Reisenden besucht und
steht seit 1999 unter dem Management der Serena - Gruppe. Die Zimmer der Lodge, das
Open-Air-Restaurant, die Felsen - Bar und die Holzterrasse laden zu ruhigen und
ungestörten Tierbeobachtungen ein und ermöglichen eine unvergessliche Sicht auf den
schneebedeckten Kilimanjaro und die Weiten der Gras - und Buschsavanne.
Die Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge liegt inmitten eines großen Elefanten - und
Löwengebietes gelegen und zahlreiche Wasserstellen ziehen täglich große Herden von
Büffeln und Elefanten und anderen Wildarten an. Die Lodge bietet sich als idealer
Ausgangspunkt für Pirschfahrten in den Tsavo West Nationalpark an.
Sie wurde behutsam in die Natur eingefügt und der Baustil der Kilaguni Serena Safari
Lodge wurde der Savannenlandschaft angepasst, zudem wurden die natürlichen Felssteine des
Gebietes verwendet.
Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll und elegant eingerichtet und die stilvolle Ausstattung,
die in den Farben der Savanne gewählt wurde, spiegelt das afrikanische Leben wieder.
Das reetgedeckte Restaurant ermöglicht den Genuss traditioneller einheimischer Küche
und bietet den Gästen eine Sicht auf die Wasserstellen, an denen sich Elefanten, Büffel
und Zebras treffen. Außerdem verfügt die Lodge über einen Swimmingpool, der inmitten
eines tropisch bepflanzten Garten liegt und den Gästen nach einem ausgedehnten Safaritag
Entspannung bietet.

and boundless game.EXCLUSIVE AREA IN THE MAASAI MARA
The Cottar's 1920's Safari Camp is situated in our extensive and exclusive concession
between the Maasai Mara, Serengeti and Loliondo reserves where a few Purko Maasai clan
roam. This area has been untouched by any kind of tourism or development and offers the
discerning client a guarantee of privacy.
LUXURY UNDER CANVAS
The camp accommodates up to twelve clients in authentic white canvas tents, which are
spacious and luxuriously furnished and incorporate original safari antiques from the
'20's; private en suite dressing rooms and bathrooms (with old-fashioned showers and
flushing toilets), the main bedroom and an outdoor veranda.
PROFESSIONAL GUIDING
Guest activities include game drives guided by Calvin Cottar or guides of equal
professional standard in either state of the art modern four wheel drive cars, in our
authentic, old wooden car or in our oxen pulled wagon. Alternatively, a tented reading
room with an extensive array of African and modern books and magazines will allow those
who wish to merely while away an afternoon resting and viewing the most splendid panorama.
INCREDIBLE ACTIVITIES
As our concession is outside the game parks, therefore guided walks and night drives are
allowed and highly recommended. By walking, guests can get that much closer to nature, and
if an opportunity to track wild game presents itself, our trained trackers will take
guests even closer still. On a more self-indulgent note, our masseuse will now be based
full-time at the camp for complimentary massages, manicures and pedicures. Any other needs
that guests may have will be met by butlers who have been trained to provide guests with
discreet, yet attentive service.
